āŒ›ļø Larvanet's approaching šŸ›” Nodes req tokens to stake šŸ’° Validators need to cover costs šŸŸ Marlin's a base layer 0 protocol šŸ“ˆ Economic guarantees req are high āš–ļø Governance has to cater to incongruous communities The POND / MPond design rationale šŸ‘‡ We introduce a dual token model comprised of a semi-transferrable MPond and completely transferrable POND with a bridge governed by token holders themselves. Inspired from Project Serum's MSRM/SRM model, Nexus Mutual's bridge design, and Fred Ehrsam's governance minimization. We think the design of MPond/POND is an interesting experiment in exploring security design and governance in PoS systems. While POND incentivizes validators and is a route to acquiring MPOND, MPOND's design ensures that economic security and governance aren't easily compromised.
